I basically only painted one third of each board at a time, rather than trying to make the paint on my brush spread out over as much of the board as possible, I just filled my brush, put a few dabs down the center on just 1/3 of the board, used what was left on the brush to do the edges and then came back to the center.

I used the hammer in the end just to make sure the tacks were all pushed in all the way. That was fun too..

I honestly don’t think the overall look is that different from “real” nail head trim.I’m pretty smitten with it, even if it is a little crooked in places.Remember how I said I was going for a more relaxed look?

Let’s say the crookedness is on purpose too..Overall a pretty successful little afternoon experiment, I’d say!Do you remember when we all started hanging plates on our walls?

Not like 100 years ago, but I mean just a few years ago when it became a whole new trend.

It opened up a whole new world of possibility for wall decor and added so much fun color and dimension to our living spaces.I kind of like it!.

So that’s what we’ve got so far.Hopefully within a few weeks things will fill in a little more and I’ll be able to show you something that looks more like a thriving vegetable garden and less like a big brown rectangle.. Hope you liked the little tour anyway!Hope everyone had a great Mother’s Day Weekend!I don’t know what it is with me and weeds, but I just love ’em.

If I see a pretty weed flower, I’ll always have to pick it and bring it inside. And you know how I love.
